HBO Nordic/España BSAs
One of the most important projects I've developed working for HBO Nordic was aligning the design of the BSAs (Big Screen Applications) to the 'V3' design system. The project's main goal was to keep the experience throughout all platforms as consistent as possible to create an "Omni-experience" that creates a strong identity between the product and the users.
The platforms that benefitted from this new design were: PlayStation, Android TV, Samsung Smart TV, LG TV, and Xbox One. Although all of these platforms are different, the main challenge was to align the app's experience and UI as much as possible between them. Some more minor adjustments had to be made to adapt to each platform's specific requirements. For example, LG TV has a unique 'cursor mode' which required extra interactions to be designed.
One of the most challenging parts of this project was to keep track of the development of each platform as many were developed at the same time. This meant constant meetings with developers, product managers, and operations. Some adjustments had to be made along the way to adjust to the limitations in the performance of older devices that would still support the app.
